Mukesh Khanna on Adipurush: The controversies on the film ‘Adipurush’ started with its release. Which are now not taking the name of ending even after 5 days of the film’s release. Mukesh Khanna has not only called Adipurush an insult to Ramayana, but has also raised questions on giving the role of Ravana to Saif Ali Khan in this film.
‘Raavan may look scary but not like Vishpurush’
In a recently shared video, Mukesh Khanna said, ‘Ravana may be scary, but how can Chandrakanta’s Shivdutt – Vishwapurush look like? He was a pundit. You will be surprised how one can imagine Ravana and design it in this way. I remember when the film was announced, Saif had said that he would make the character comical. Even then I had said – ‘Who are you to change the characters of our epic, show it by doing it in your religion. Will start cutting heads. The truth is that there was not much change in Ravana’s look and the makers also tried to do comedy with him.
‘Om Raut got only Saif Ali Khan for Raavan’
Mukesh Khanna further said, ‘Om Raut got only Saif Ali Khan for Ravana? Is there no higher character in the industry than this? Ravana was strong, he was made through jugaad. Ravana looks more like a less cheap smuggler.
Mukesh Khanna further said that Manoj Muntashir made this film ‘Kalyug Ki Ramayana’ with the dialogue written by him in Tapori language.
