Assembly Elections 2023: Interstate coordination meeting held for peaceful and fair polling, Collectors and SPs of border districts of MP-CG were included

Manendragarh. A joint border meeting of senior police and administrative officials of the border areas of the district was held on Wednesday at Hasdev Guest House, Nai Ledri. As per the intention of the Election Commission, a mutual coordination meeting was organized to conduct peaceful and fair polling in the border areas of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. In the meeting, Additional Director General of Police Shahdol Zone (M.P.) DC Sagar, Commissioner Surguja Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Commissioner Shahdol (M.P.) Rajeev Sharma, Inspector General of Police Surguja Ramgopal Garg reviewed the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.

Collectors and SPs of Shahdol, Anuppur, Sidhi, Singrauli, MCB, Korea, Surajpur, Surguja, GPM and Korba districts participated in the review meeting related to Vidhansabha Election 2023. All the Collectors and SPs present in the meeting gave detailed information regarding the preparations for the assembly elections 2023 as per the instructions of the Election Commission. In the meeting, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur SP Siddharth Tiwari was told that continuous action is being taken on illegal drugs to prepare a peaceful environment for voting in the district. Work is being done to strengthen the information system. Continuous action is going on in the district under Arms Act, NDPS Act and Excise Act. To restore peace in the border area, elaborate arrangements have been made.

Checkposts have been installed in all major border areas and CCTVs have also been installed by marking sensitive hot-spot locations. Groups have been formed at every level in social media for quick exchange of information. Control rooms have been set up at the district level to monitor the movement of anti-social elements and border areas. Work is being done in coordination with all the administrative officers to get the polling done in a peaceful environment. At the end of the programme, MCB SP Tiwari presented mementos to all the guests.

MCB Collector Narendra Kumar Dugga, Korea Collector Vinay Langeh, GPM Collector Priyanka Rashi Mahobia, Collector Shahdol Vandana Vaidya, SP Korea Trilok Bansal, SP Shahdol Kumar Prateek and officers of other districts were present in the meeting.
