In fact, the Child Welfare Committee had received information about the marriage of a 17-year-old minor girl living in Batham locality of Old Cantonment police station area. After this, the CWC instructed the police to stop the marriage. After this, the police took the minor from his house to the CWC office in the city center. During this, the girl’s mother and family also reached the CWC office. CWC prepared to send him to One Stop Center on the basis of documents. Due to this, the girl’s mother got upset and the minor also tied the noose around her neck with her dupatta in the office itself. Due to which there was a stir.

Along with this, the girl’s mother also alleged that the CWC wanted to forcefully send her daughter to the One Stop Centre.
