Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The Chhattisgarh High Court has put an interim stay on the teacher recruitment process. Contrary to the Service Recruitment Rules 2019, a petition was filed in the High Court regarding giving bonus marks to guest teachers in teacher recruitment advertisement and not issuing subject-wise advertisements. While hearing the matter, the High Court has summoned the reply from the government and has stayed the finalization of the recruitment process till further orders.

In this case, petitioner Vedprakash and others have filed a petition in the High Court through advocate Ajay Srivastava, stating that the Chhattisgarh government will fill 4,659 posts of teacher’s T-cadre and 1113 posts of e-cadre by May 4, 2023. Advertisement was issued on The provision of giving bonus marks to guest teachers in the recruitment process has also been made in the advertisement, while there is no provision for giving bonus marks to guest teachers in Chhattisgarh School Education Service (Academic and Administrative) Cadre Recruitment Rules 2019.

Apart from this, according to the said Promotion and Recruitment Rules 2019, subject-wise direct recruitment and promotion is to be done on the post of teacher, but the advertisement issued was issued only for the teacher. There was no classification of subjects, while separate posts were to be issued for all subjects. In such a situation, the candidate will not even know whether the post of his subject is vacant or not. In this way, in the ongoing recruitment process, advertisement has been issued contrary to the promotion and service recruitment rules.

The exam was held on June 10

After hearing the case, Justice PP Sahu’s single bench has issued a notice to the government seeking its reply and has stayed the finalization of the recruitment process until the case is resolved. Let us tell you that under the recruitment process, the examination was conducted under the said advertisement on June 10 itself, the result of which has not been released yet.
