Durg police is bringing the accused from Mumbai to Chhattisgarh on transit remand. On Tuesday, in Durg’s rice miller Vineet Gupta’s office, the accused cheated by posing as fake ED officers and showing fear of action. Durg SP himself was monitoring this matter. This matter belongs to Mohan Nagar police station area.
According to the information, there is an office of Vineet Gupta, a resident of Hari Nagar Durg, a grain trader in the Parakh complex of Durg. According to the complaint of the businessman, five unknown persons had reached here in a four wheeler. All of them threatened the grain trader by claiming to be ED officers and talking about keeping black money and evading income tax. The victim’s Jewra is Hanumant Rice Mill in Sirsa. The victim is a big trader of grains. For a big deal of a property, the victim had kept Rs 2 crore in four bags in his office. But before that five people reached his office and showed their fake ID cards. The accused searched the office. In which he got money in four bags. Being afraid of their threat, the victim businessman also gave money to the fake officials in panic to avoid the action of ED.
Five people posing as fake ED officers reached the grain merchant’s office in black scarves. Everyone started showing their ID cards as soon as they entered the office together. After this incident, the businessman realized that he had become a victim of fraud. After which he lodged a report in Mohan Nagar police station. After which the police got involved in the investigation to nab the accused and all the accused have been arrested. About one crore rupees cash has been recovered from the accused. Soon the Durg police will reveal the whole matter.
