Raipur. Contract employees working in all departments of the state under the banner of Chhattisgarh All Departmental Contract Employees Federation, even after four and a half years, the promise of regularization made in the public manifesto was not fulfilled. On May 16, by taking out a contract regularization rath yatra from Shivrinarayan in Janjgir Champa, to fulfill the promise made before the government elections in 33 districts, the collector and 90 assembly MLAs will conclude the rath yatra in Raipur on June 23 by handing over the memorandum to the public representatives. Due to non-regularization of contract employees and creating a communication gap situation even after submitting memorandum to 33 District Collectors, 90 MLAs, 45,000 contract employees of the state will be mobilized for an indefinite agitation from July 3.
Provincial President Kaushalesh Tiwari told that, the government had promised regularization to us contract employees in point number 11 of the public manifesto for the 2018 elections. Till now, even after 4 years and 6 months of the government, it is undemocratic not to fulfill the promise. In these four and a half years, there is a situation of lack of communication from the government. Even after giving memorandum to 33 District Collectors and many Congress Ministers, MLAs and people’s representatives in Rath Yatra, dialogue was not established. This is worrying and sad in a democracy.
Extreme anger among the employees against the government
Federation’s Provincial Executive President Hemant Sinha and Ashok Kurre told that, apart from many big leaders of Congress, as the head of the government, the Honorable Chief Minister speaks about regularization in the assembly or in other media, till date there is no evidence on this. concrete implementation has not been done. The crowd of contract workers gathered in Raipur Tuta through Rath Yatra will decide which party will form the government in Chhattisgarh in the 2024 elections. This government should be alert.

Federation’s provincial spokesperson and media in-charge Suraj Singh Thakur said that for the past four and a half years, through various applications, requests and meetings, the government has been informed about the demand for regularization of contractual employees. The government did not give any consideration to this demand, rather the situation of communication gap is maintained by the government. It seems as if the government itself is forcing the contract employees for indefinite agitation. 45 thousand contract employees of Chhattisgarh will be on the path of indefinite agitation from 3rd July. Due to their movement, there will be a lot of impact in health, panchayat, education, women and child development department, agriculture department, collector’s office etc.
