Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to freedom fighters Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and late Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary on 23rd July. Recalling their struggle for freedom, CM Baghel said that Tilak ji and Azad ji dedicated their whole life for patriotism and kept fighting for freedom till the last moment. His patriotism inspires people even today.
CM Baghel said that Lokmanya Tilak ushered in a new era of social harmony by starting Ganesh Utsav in Maharashtra. During the struggle for independence, with slogans like ‘Swaraj is my birthright and I will take it’, he awakened the spirit of freedom in the minds of millions of Indians. Remembering the sacrifice of Chandrashekhar Azad, the Chief Minister said that Chandrashekhar Azad’s patriotism still fills thousands of youth with patriotism and new energy. The immortal sacrifice of legends for freedom will always be remembered.
CM paid tribute to Bisahu Das Mahant on his death anniversary
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to the former minister of United Madhya Pradesh late Bisahu Das Mahant on his death anniversary on July 23. The Chief Minister has said that Mahantji’s whole life was connected with public service. Mahant ji has given his invaluable services for the development of the state as a legislator and minister in undivided Madhya Pradesh. He carried out the work of betterment of the people through agriculture, irrigation and roads.
CM Baghel has said that Bisahu Das Mahant ji has made an incomparable contribution in making the weaving and weaving business famous from the state to abroad. In view of this, the Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to award the best weavers of the state every year in the name of late Bisahu Das Mahant. Government Medical College Korba has been named Late Bisahu Das Mahant Memorial Medical College Korba in honor of Mahant ji by the state government. CM Baghel has said that the state government is moving forward in the direction of giving a new dimension to the development legacy left by our forefathers.
