Balod. Collector Kuldeep Sharma along with Superintendent of Police Jitendra Yadav made a surprise inspection of District Jail Balod today and took stock of the arrangements. During this, the Collector and SP inspected the barracks, mess and hospital in the jail premises and investigated the arrangements. After talking to the prisoners, he inquired about their well-being and inquired about their needs.
He took information from the prisoners regarding the arrangements for cleanliness, proper availability of water, electricity etc. in the barracks. The Collector and Superintendent of Police inspected the new barrack building under construction in the District Jail premises and instructed to pay special attention to quality as well as security in the construction work of the new barrack.
The Collector and Superintendent of Police inspected the kitchen and checked the quality of the food prepared for the prisoners. Collector Sharma gave instructions to the Jail Superintendent to provide skill development training for short term prisoners. During this, Sharma observed the CC TV cameras installed in the barracks through the LEDs fitted in the security system. SDM Sheetal Bansal and other officers were present during the inspection.
