Collector Rahul Dev has suspended Rural Agriculture Extension Officer Saroj Kumar Dahire after irregularities were found in the purchase of cow dung under Godhan Nyay Yojana in village Mohtara Teli Gothan of development block Lormi. During the period of suspension, he will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per rules. On the other hand, the collector reprimanded the officers for the slow progress in road construction work and issued show cause notices to three sub engineers.
During the period of suspension, Rural Agricultural Extension Officer Saroj Kumar has been posted in the office of Senior Agricultural Extension Officer, Block Patharia, District Mungeli. In fact, the ambitious Godhan Nyaya Yojana of the government is reviewed by the collector in every time limit meeting, in which he has given clear instructions to the officers that negligence and apathy will not be tolerated in the implementation of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
Collector Rahul Dev reprimanded the officials for the slow progress in road construction work and for not starting work even after work orders were issued for many roads. Along with this, instructions were given to the concerned officials to issue show cause notices to the three sub-engineers of the Public Works Department. The Collector reviewed the progress of road construction and renovation work in the district by holding a meeting with officials of the Public Works Department and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the Maniyari assembly hall located at the District Collectorate. He issued work order for the construction of such roads for which the tendering process has been completed and instructed to start the work soon.
Instructions for repairing dilapidated roads
The collector said that the rainy season has started. Due to dilapidation of many roads and filling of water in the pits, there is a possibility of accident. Keeping this in mind, the officers should act seriously. For the construction of new roads and renovation of old roads, the work of the approved roads should be started soon. Common people should not have any problem in traffic.
Let us inform that administrative approval has been received for the construction of 14 new roads under the Public Works Department, out of which the construction work of 03 roads is in progress. At the same time, the tender for 09 road construction works is under process and the work order has been issued for the construction of 02 roads. Similarly, a total of 26 roads have received administrative approval under the renovation work, out of which the renovation work of 16 roads has been completed and the rest is under process.
The Collector instructed to complete the progressing works with full quality within the time limit and for the works under process, after discussing with the senior officers, complete the process and start it soon. The Collector inquired about the progress of the works of Prime Minister and Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, in which it was told that approval has been received for the renovation of 52 roads in the year 2022-23 under PM Sadak Yojana, out of which 50 works have been completed.
Approval has been received for the renovation of 03 roads in the year 2023-24, which is in progress. The collector asked to complete the ongoing works soon. Along with this, all departmental SDOs and sub-engineers were instructed to visit the field and regularly monitor road construction and renovation works. He said that the announcements made by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the district should also be implemented immediately.
