Raipur. An important meeting of the Chhattisgarh Congress was held in Delhi today regarding the assembly elections-2023. The meeting started at 11 am at the Congress headquarters. The meeting lasted for about 3 hours. The preparations made so far regarding the assembly elections were discussed in the meeting. On behalf of the government, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and PCC President Mohan Markam gave their report on behalf of the organization. At the same time, the ministers also gave many social and political suggestions.

In discussion with journalists after the meeting, State Congress in-charge Kumari Selja said that Chhattisgarh Congress is doing good work. The benefits of the schemes of the state government have reached the people. There is a positive atmosphere among the public regarding the Congress. A detailed discussion has been held with senior leaders of the party regarding the elections. The leaders of Chhattisgarh have given their suggestions. The Chief Minister has given information about the schemes of the government and the feedback received under the meet-meet programme. On the other hand, Mohan Markam has given his report about the programs of the organization.

He said that National President Kharge, National General Secretary Organization KC Venugopal have also guided and given instructions to the leaders of Chhattisgarh. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi has also spoken during the meeting. Giving the example of 2018, Rahul Gandhi said that the way everyone worked hard while taking their responsibility, they will have to work in this election. We have to reach back to all classes of people.

State in-charge Selja said that the national leadership has decided that elections will be fought under collective leadership in Chhattisgarh. Like we contested the 2018 assembly elections. People and workers have great expectations from the government. We are happy that we have lived up to the trust of both the public and the workers. We will fight against the negative of BJP. BJP’s job is to run religious agenda, but we will not let it run.

He also said that BJP tries to trap, but no one is going to get trapped on false and wasteful agenda. The public has come to know the truth of the BJP and the central government. We have to take this truth to the ground among the public. Congress government has to be formed again in Chhattisgarh. We all have to work on this for the next 4 months.

In the meeting, along with National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Kumari Selja, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from Chhattisgarh, Assembly Speaker, Dr. Charandas Mahant, PCC President Mohan Markam, Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, TS Singhdev, Mohd. Akbar, Kawasi Lakhma, Jai Singh Agarwal, Senior MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, Dhanendra Sahu, Co-incharge Vijay Jangid, Incharge Secretary Chandan Yadav and Saptagiri Ulka along with many leaders of All India Congress Committee were present.
