Amritanshi Joshi, Bhopal. Emergency was imposed in the country on 25 June 1975. On the anniversary of the Emergency, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that on this day in 1975, the Emergency was imposed by strangling the Indian Constitution and democracy. He has described the days of emergency as dark days of emergency.
CM Shivraj tweeted from his official account and wrote – On this day in 1975, the Emergency was imposed by strangling the Indian Constitution and democracy. From the common citizen to the right of expression of the press was crushed, locks were put on every vocal voice; Cruelest attempt was made to silence those who stood firm against this injustice by burying them in the darkness of the dungeon.
Today in MP: CM Shivraj will go to Shahdol, will take stock of the preparations for PM Modi’s program, Congress office employees’ convention, ex-servicemen convention
Further said that I respectfully bow down at the feet of the great souls who sacrificed their lives while suffering the cruel tortures of the Emergency and the democracy fighters who fought against the killers of democracy! O Mother India, today we all take another pledge that we will work with all our might to build the India of the dreams of the great souls who dedicated everything for the protection of democracy.
