Manendra Patel, Durg. Police has taken major action against drugs in the district. The police have arrested the drug dealers. Both the accused used to bring drugs from Punjab and sell them in Raipur, Durg and Rajnandgaon for a long time. Police has recovered 147.86 grams of brown sugar and 45 thousand cash worth 7 lakhs from these accused.
Tell that, a campaign is being run to stop the sale and smuggling of illegal drugs in the district. In this sequence, a woman named Nutan Singh, a resident of Premnagar Camp-1 Bhilai, was illegally selling brown sugar inside a bag in the platform of her house. Nutan Singh, a resident of Camp-1, Prem Nagar, was caught under siege. From whose possession 147.860 grams of brown sugar intoxicant was found in a box inside a blue bag. Whose price is being estimated at Rs 7,40,000. Along with the sale amount of Rs 24,070 was also seized from the accused woman.
On the other hand, when the police questioned the accused woman regarding drugs, she told that her second husband Dalbir Singh used to buy brown sugar from Punjab and sell it. The accused Dalbir Singh was brought to the police station and interrogated. After which the accused confessed to the crime. 2 pieces of mobile and drugs amounting to Rs 45720 were seized from the possession of accused Dalbir Singh. Action is being taken against the accused under the NDPS Act.
