Ex-BCCI Selector Saba Karim Said Sanju Is Talented But He Lacks In Consistency This Why He Is Not In Indian Cricket Team

Sanju Samson, Indian Cricket Team: Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson has been included in the ODI squad for the West Indies tour. Samson is rarely seen playing in Team India. Now former Indian selector Saba Karim told why Sanju Samson does not appear in the team continuously. Saba Karim said that Sanju will have to show consistency to make a place in the team.

Saba Karim while talking on ‘News 24’ said that Sanju has talent, but he is not consistent. Sanju has not capitalized on the opportunities. Apart from this, the former selector said that he should play like youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma. Saba Karim said, “At present you do not have players, so I want Sanju Samson to be in the XI. He should play and perform regularly so that he challenges the players currently in the team.

The former selector further said, “Unfortunately, Samson could not do it. If you see in IPL, he has performed sporadically. I want to see the same consistency in Sanju Samson’s batting that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma showed this year. It is still missing.”

He further added, “I have high hopes from Sanju as he has got the skills but unfortunately at times lacks consistency and because of this I feel he has not cemented his place in the Indian team.”

Last ODI match was played in November 2022
