Health Department and Tata Trust together made 23 urban PHCs Model Humar Hospital, people are getting excellent health services

State Government’s Health Department, National Health Mission and Tata Trust’s associate organization CNIN (Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives) have jointly developed 23 urban primary health centers in the state as model Hummer hospitals. Local people are getting excellent health services from this model Hummer hospital. Out of these 23, 14 Urban Primary Health Centers have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

CNIN has also collaborated with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Nava Raipur, in the screening and treatment of children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease. The closing program of the Model Urban Primary Health Center and CHD project run by the organization in Chhattisgarh was organized today at a private hotel in Nava Raipur. The staff working in all 23 model Hummer hospitals were felicitated in the programme. Along with a workshop on ‘Workplace Happiness’ for the hospital staff, a panel discussion on ‘Primary Health Care among Urban Population’ was also organized during this period. A booklet based on the Adarsh ​​Humar Hospital Project in Chhattisgarh prepared by CNIN was also released in the programme.

The Model Urban Primary Health Center project was being run by the Tata Trusts in partnership with the state government under the Chhattisgarh Health Systems Strengthening Initiative from the year 2019. Under this, child-friendly model vaccination rooms, patient-centered health centers, use of digital technologies, pharmacy strengthening, increasing the number of tests and medicines and increasing the efficiency of the staff working there in 23 urban primary health centers of the state as model Hummer hospitals. has been developed. Other urban primary health centers of the state will also be developed on the same lines as model Humar hospitals. Tata Trusts has also partnered with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital for early detection and treatment of congenital heart diseases (CHD), as part of its commitment to make healthcare accessible to all.

Director of National Health Mission Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan while addressing the closing program of the project said that we have to provide good health facilities in both rural and urban areas. Health is everyone’s priority area. Congratulating the staff who are providing excellent health services in Model Humar Hospitals, he said that you will improve the services of other health centers with the feedback of the people. Speaking at the event, Dr. Sita Ram Budaraju, Senior Health Advisor, Tata Trusts said, “We strive to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable, especially to underprivileged communities. With this aim we are working with Chhattisgarh government since last few years. Works like network of 23 model Humar hospitals in the state, digitization and active monitoring for quality control have made this pilot project a success. It is hoped that this initiative of ours will be helpful in increasing the quality of service by increasing the capacity of frontline health workers and providing better health facilities to the people through new technology.

Urban Primary Health Center, Nawapara Urban Primary Health Center Ambikapur, Korba’s Dhodhipara and Gopalpur Urban Primary Health Center, Shri Ram Nagar Urban Primary Health Center Kanker, Baikunthdham Urban Primary Health Center, New Khursipar Urban Primary Health Center, Potia Kala Urban Primary Health Center has been developed as a model Hummer hospital.

Out of these, Bhanpuri, Bhathagaon, Rajatalab, Amasivani, Mathpuraina, Hirapur Urban Primary Health Center, Charoda Urban Primary Health Center, Budha Mahadev Urban Primary Health Center Kabirdham, Bilaspur’s Gandhi Chowk and Rajkishore Nagar Urban Primary Health Center have been approved by the Union Health Ministry. Nawapara Urban Primary Health Center Ambikapur, Dhodhipara and Gopalpur Urban Primary Health Center of Korba and Shri Ram Nagar Urban Primary Health Center Kanker have been awarded National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate.
