One such case has come from Gwalior city, where a dowry greedy husband beat his wife so much that she became a victim of paralysis, but the police is not taking up the matter. After which the elderly father reached the SP office to seek justice for the married daughter who was fighting for life and death.

In fact, during the ongoing public hearing at the Gwalior SP office, an elderly father Hariram Pal had brought a married daughter along with his wife and some relatives. Whoever saw the condition of the married woman present there, his eyes became moist. Even the senior officers of the police left the public hearing from their room and went to listen to the complaint of the victim woman and her father.

Hariram Pal, who reached the police to seek justice, told the police that his daughter was married 9 years ago to Virendra Pal, a resident of Kampu police station area, and also donated dowry according to his capacity. After some time of marriage, son-in-law Virendra started torturing the daughter. During the first cesarean delivery of the daughter she gave birth to a girl child and in the second delivery gave birth to another girl child.

After this the son-in-law started torturing the daughter more. On May 10, Virender assaulted the victim so much that she suffered a severe head injury, which left her paralyzed. The complaint of the incident was registered at the Kampu police station, but the police personnel stopped them by saying that her statement would be taken when the daughter becomes capable of talking.

During the public hearing in this case, Crime Branch ASP Rishikesh Meena assured the victim and her family that strict action would be taken against the accused. Action will also be taken against whoever’s role in the case is suspected. However, after the assurance of senior police officers, the elderly Hariram Pal took the daughter back to his home, but left behind a question mark on the functioning of the Gwalior police.
