Arif Qureshi, Sheopur. Illegal sand is being transported openly in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh even after NGT ban on illegal sand mining and transportation. On Thursday, tractor trolleys filled with illegal sand were seen moving freely from where the traffic police had set up a vehicle checking point. But here the strict traffic police remained mute spectators and did not even bother to stop them. Now the video of this matter has been made viral on social media by BJP leader.

The video going viral is near St.Poise School in Pali Road area of the city. BJP leader Rishi Sharma, who made this video viral by recording it with his mobile camera, has accused the traffic station police of colluding with the sand and ballast mafia while making the video. In the viral video, he is heard saying that the traffic police station is stopping bikes and other vehicles in the name of challan action and is collecting money from them. But, when vehicles without royalty carrying sand and ballast pass through the same checkpoint, they do not take any action against them.

It is visible in the video that only then two tractors filled with sand and ballast come out one after the other from there, after seeing them making the video, the traffic station police starts moving by removing the checking point from there. During this, BJP leaders are seen saying to the police, stop now, more tractor trolleys are yet to come. Where have you gone from now but, the policemen again do not listen and leave from there. Now, after this video went viral, questions are being raised on the functioning of the district headquarters police apart from the traffic station police. Because there is not even a single legal sand quarry in the district, questions are being raised that from where this sand is being brought in these tractor trolleys and when these sand-filled tractor trolleys were coming out from the checking point. Why didn’t the traffic police stop them and take action? In this regard SDOP Raju Rajak says that the video has gone viral on social media, it has come to our notice in which traffic checking is going on and two tractors are coming out. If this happens, the mining people will be called and action will be taken against the tractor owners.
