Virat Kohli Statement in Hindi: India’s star batsman Virat Kohli said after scoring his 29th century in Test cricket that he feels excited when he faces adversity. He is satisfied by scoring this hundred in the second Test cricket match against the West Indies.

The 34-year-old Virat Kohli on Friday equaled Sir Don Bradman’s record of 29 Test hundreds when he scored 121 as India scored 438 in their first innings. This is his first international century overseas in the last five years. He scored his last international century abroad in 2018.

Kohli said after the end of the second day’s play, “I really enjoyed this innings. I was in a good rhythm and I wanted to maintain it. It was a challenging time when I stepped into the crease. On such occasions when I have to face challenges, I feel excited.”

He further said, “I needed to be patient, because the outfield was slow. It is very satisfying, because I had to work hard.”

This is Kohli’s 76th century in 500 international matches. He left behind Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 74 international centuries in the first 500 matches.

Kohli said, “First of all, I am grateful that I got to play 500 matches for India. I have scored 15 centuries overseas. I have scored more hundreds in foreign soil than in India. Also I have scored a few half-centuries. I just have to focus on what I have to do for the team. I try to contribute to the team’s victory, when the team needs me, then these figures and achievements matter a lot.”

Kohli, one of the fittest cricketers in the world, said about his fitness, “I take full care of myself. Exercise, sleep, rest and pay full attention to my diet. It is easy for me to convert one run into two runs. It helps me to remain stress free. Good fitness helps me to play in all formats.”
