The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Test and ODI team for the tour. The tour will start from July 12 through a Test match. There has been a big change in the Indian Test team as the vice-captain.

Star batsman Ajinkya Rahane has been made the vice-captain of the Indian Test team. Rahane recently returned to the team through the final of the World Test Championship played against Australia and after only one match, he has been handed over the vice-captaincy of the team. Seeing Rahane becoming the vice-captain, such speculations have started that the team’s star batsman KL Rahul may be discharged.

Earlier, KL Rahul was the vice-captain of the Indian team Test team. However, these days Rahul is recovering from his injury and he was not available for selection. But at the same time, in the last two matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played against Australia in February-March this year, KL Rahul was dropped from the Test team due to poor performance.
