According to the Times of India report, apart from the ODI and T20 series, Rohit Sharma will not participate in the Test series as well. However, the selectors will talk to Rohit before taking any decision. Rohit looked a bit tired during IPL 2023 and the World Test Championship final in England. Now the selectors want him to rest on the West Indies tour.
Rohit is struggling with bad form
In 16 matches of IPL 2023, Rohit Sharma could score only 332 runs at an average of 20.75. During this, only two half-centuries came out of his bat. At the same time, in the final of the World Test Championship, Rohit could score only 15 and 43 runs.
Rahane will be the captain in the test series
According to reports, Ajinkya Rahane will be the captain of Team India in place of Rohit Sharma in the two-match Test series against the West Indies. Rahane returned to Team India after about 18 months from the final of the World Test Championship. Rahane scored 89 and 46 in the final.
