According to reports, the new BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar will hold a meeting with his team next week and discuss the players who have performed brilliantly in IPL 2023. It is further being said in the report that next week itself, Agarkar will select Team India for the five-match T20 series against the West Indies.
Significantly, Ajit Agarkar is currently on leave and he will take over his post only next week. The five-match T20 series against the West Indies is to be played from 3 August. In such a situation, Agarkar will announce the T20 team after meeting next week.
It is further being said in the report that keeping in mind the 2024 T20 World Cup, the team will be selected for the five-match T20 series against the West Indies.
