The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the Test team. A big change was seen in this. Senior player Cheteshwar Pujara was shown the way out of Team India. He is not part of the team for the West Indies tour. Pujara could not do anything special in the World Test Championship. At the same time, Ajinkya Rahane has got the vice-captaincy along with getting a place in the team.
Pujara has scored only one half-century in the last 10 Test matches. He played 8 Test matches against Australia this year. During this he scored 7, 0, 31, 1, 59, 42, 14 and 27 runs. He proved to be a flop in the final of the World Test Championship 2023. Pujara was dismissed for 14 runs in the first innings of this match and only 7 runs in the second innings. Team India had to face a big defeat in this match by 209 runs. The team lost the title along with the defeat.
