ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023: The Indian Women’s A team is currently participating in the ACC Women’s Emerging Asia Cup being hosted by Hong Kong. After a stellar performance in their group matches, the Indian A women’s team had booked their place in the semi-finals. In this match, the team was to face Sri Lanka A Women’s team. Due to the interruption of rain, it was decided to conduct the match on the first reserve day. After this, due to rain in the reserve day also, the Indian women’s A team was given direct entry into the final.
The Indian A women’s team benefited from being on top of their group. Sri Lanka A women’s team finished second in their group with 4 points. 2-2 group matches of both India and Sri Lanka were also canceled due to rain. The Sri Lankan Women’s A team had to bear the brunt of this. The one match that the Indian women’s A team won came against the hosts.

India A women’s team beat Hong Kong by a big margin
In their group matches, the Indian A women’s team registered a big win against Hong Kong. The team chased down 38 runs in just 5.2 overs at the loss of 1 wicket. Its effect was also seen on the net runrate of the team. Despite being tied on points with Pakistan A women’s team, the Indian A women’s team topped the group on the basis of net runrate.
Now the final match of this Emerging Women’s Asia Cup will be played on June 21 at 11:00 pm Indian time. Who the Indian A team will face will be decided after the match between Bangladesh A and Pakistan A women’s team.
