ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023: The Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 being played in Hong Kong has been won by the Indian A women’s team. In the final match, the Indian A women’s team defeated Bangladesh by 31 runs. In the title match, the Indian team scored 127 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs while playing first. In response, the entire Bangladesh team got reduced to 96 runs. On behalf of the Indian women’s team, Shreyanka Patil took maximum 4 wickets in her name.
The Indian Women’s A team decided to bat first after winning the toss in the final match. Shweta Sehrawat and Uma Chetri, who started the innings for the team, shared a 28-run partnership for the first wicket. After this Vrinda Dinesh scored 36 runs while Kanika Ahuja scored 30 runs with the bat.
Due to this, the Indian Women’s A team managed to reach a score of 127 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. In bowling for Bangladesh Women’s A team, Nahida Akter and Sultana Khatoon took 2-2 wickets in their name.
Shreyanka’s magic again in India’s bowling
Chasing the target of 128 runs, the Bangladesh A women’s team started losing wickets from the beginning. By the score of 51, half the team had returned to the pavilion. Bangladesh A women’s team was bundled out in this match by scoring 96 runs in 19.2 overs. Only 3 batsmen from the team were able to cross the double figure.
