According to a report in the news agency ‘PTI’, the second Indian wicket-keeper batsman Ishaan Kishan will not be able to be a part of the Duleep Trophy due to the West Indies tour. For this reason, Wriddhiman Saha was approached for the domestic tournament, but Saha refused to play the tournament saying that he would not occupy the place of young players.
A member of the East Zone selection committee said, “Wriddhiman Saha said that the Duleep Trophy is for the Indian contenders. If I never play for India, then there will be no point in stopping a young player from making a place.

Saha has played Test and ODI matches for India. Saha was specially selected for the Test, but now he has been removed from the team’s plan. He played his last Test match in December 2021. At the same time, Saha played the last ODI in November 2014.
