Joint action of RPF and Excise Department: Liquor smuggler arrested from railway station, 283 pav foreign liquor seized

Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. In Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, a liquor consignment has been caught by the joint action of RPF and Excise team. Actually RPF got information that a person was carrying liquor in large quantity in Sanghamitra Express. After which the RPF gave this information to the Excise Department.

Here, as soon as the young man reached the station, the already prepared team nabbed him. During interrogation, it was found that the accused youth, Ganesh Bisen, is a resident of Balaghat and works on a contract basis in the Railways. When his bag was searched, 283 pav of English brand liquor was seized. The estimated cost of which is being told as Rs 25,000.

Excise Control Room in-charge GL Maravi said that Made in Karnataka is written on the liquor. The same youth was bringing liquor from Bangalore. He told during interrogation that he had to deliver it outside, but the person to whom it was to be delivered did not reach and the train moved ahead. At present, further action is being taken by confiscating the liquor.
