Shahrukh Khan First Film: The journey of Shah Rukh Khan, one of the great actors of Bollywood, to reach here has been very difficult. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Maya Memsaab, directed by Ketan Mehta, was released 30 years ago. While King Khan’s first film released in 1992 is considered to be ‘Deewana’. However, the film for which Shah Rukh shot for the first time was ‘Maya Memsaab’. The director of this film, Ketan Mehta, revealed recently that Shah Rukh’s mother was very ill and in critical condition during the shooting of this film, but when it came to work, she took time off for the shoot.
Shahrukh reached Shimla despite his mother being seriously ill
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Ketan Mehta revealed, ‘Salute to Shah Rukh Khan. At that time his mother was in critical condition. The entire unit had reached Shimla. He also did not make anyone wait for the shooting and he reached there. I am grateful for his positive energy. Shahrukh Khan’s mother died in 1991 in Delhi.
Shahrukh was recommended by Aziz Mirza
Ketan recalled that Shah Rukh was recommended by Aziz Mirza and Saeed Mirza as he had worked with them in the television show Circus. Ketan told, “We were looking for a newcomer. He came and I realized that he was full of positive energy. I liked him so much that we immediately decided to cast him. Snow storm was the first scene. Which we shot.”
Shahrukh was full of energy
Sharing the experience of working with Shahrukh, Ketan said, ‘When the first film happens, any actor wants to work with full energy. Shahrukh was also full of energy during the entire shoot.
