Maheshwari Samaj celebrated Grand Father’s Day, elders were respected, children presented colorful programs

Grand Father’s Day was celebrated on behalf of Maheshwari Mahila Samiti Gopal Mandir at Vrindavan Hall Civil Line on Sunday. In our Sanatan Dharma, there is a rule of respecting parents and elders every day. But still, to make this day special, the elders of the society were honored by inviting them.

The committee had fixed the dress code for all the families. In which all the families came to the program with their grandparents, maternal grandparents in matching clothes and were welcomed in the hall with loud applause. Various types of games were played during this. The elders were honored with titles such as Ram Milai Jodi, Attractive Jodi, Best Speaker, King of Luck, Keep talking for 1 minute without interrupting each other.

The children of the society also gave a colorful presentation along with their grandparents. In which bhajan was presented by Harshal Nathani. He is just an 8 year old boy. Dance performance on “Ae Dil Laya Hai Bahaar” by Aakriti Mohta and Riddhi Mata. Seeing which their grandparents also came on stage and started dancing with them and encouraged the children. A colorful performance was given by Priyanshi Mal, Dhruv Mal in the remix song. In which his grandmother Rama Mal also joined him. Madhulika Nathani presented a play on a very thought provoking topic- Grandmother’s suggestion for change according to time and won a lot of applause in the house. Tambola was organized. A quiz was organized for the general public. The convenor of the program was Shashi Sarda, Bhavna Marda.

President Pragati Kothari, Secretary Kalpana Rathi, Kavita Damani, Neelima Laddha, Shashi Bang, Shashi Mohta etc. all the executive members were present in the program. Pratibha Nathani, Nanda Bhattar, Shashi Bagdi, Madhurika Nathani, Sunita Laddha, Sangeeta Chandak, Rama Mal as well as district president secretary were also present from the advisory committee. Many distinguished guests of the society enjoyed this program.
