Make It Public What You Don’t Like About Sarfaraz Khan Aakash Chopra Criticized BCCI For Not Selecting Him In West Indies Tour

IND vs WI, Sarfaraz Khan: The Indian team will tour the West Indies in July, for which the ODI and Test team was announced by the BCCI last Friday (June 23). This time many changes were made in the Test team by the board. Young players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mukesh Kumar and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been included in the Test team. However, the name of Sarfaraz Khan, who made a splash in first class cricket, remained missing from the Test team.

Former Indian opener Akash Chopra strongly criticized the BCCI for not seeing Sarfaraz Khan’s name in the Test team. Akash Chopra raised the question and asked why Sarfaraz is being ignored again and again. He said that the board should make public what they do not like about Sarfaraz. Akash Chopra talked about this on his YouTube channel.

The former Indian opener said, “What should Sarfaraz do? If we see his figures in the last three years, then he is above the rest. He has scored runs everywhere. Still, if he is not selected… what message does it send?”

Akash Chopra further said, “It is a question worth asking. If there is some other reason, something that you and I do not know, then make it public. Just tell that you didn’t like that particular thing about Sarfaraz and that’s why you are not thinking about him. But we do not know whether there is such a thing or not. I do not know whether anyone told Sarfaraz about this or not. If you don’t value first-class runs, it leaves a sour taste in the mouth.”

So far Sarfaraz’s first class career has been like this

Sarfaraz Khan playing from Mumbai has played 37 first class matches so far. Batting in 54 innings of these matches, he has scored 3505 runs at an average of 79.65. During this, 13 centuries and 9 half-centuries have come out of his bat, in which his high score has been 301 * runs.
