Manoj Muntashir Biography: Manoj Muntashir Shukla, who came into controversy after writing the dialogues of the film ‘Adipurush’, was born on February 27, 1976 in Gauriganj, Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. He completed his studies from HAL School, Amethi in the year 1994. After this, he took a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Allahabad University.

Manoj belongs to Brahmin family. His father was a farmer and mother a teacher. He is the only child of his parents. His wife Neelam Muntashir is a writer. Both have a son named Aaru.

Reached Mumbai with 700 rupees
Manoj started writing poems from his school days. His friends used to take him to Mushaira, where he used to recite his poetry. After completing his graduation, he left for Mumbai in search of work in the year 1999. At that time he had only 700 rupees.


In Mumbai, he met Bhajan Samrat Anoop Jalota. He asked Manoj to write a hymn. Manoj had never written a bhajan before, but he agreed to write for the money. On writing the bhajan, Anoop gave him a check of 3000, which was Manoj’s first earning. In the year 2004, he got a chance to write songs for the film Rang Rasiya, but due to some reasons the film was released after ten years in 2014.

Because of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, he entered the TV industry. Big B gave him to write the dialogues of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Along with this, Manoj has also written scripts for other reality shows like ‘India’s Got Talent’, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, ‘Indian Idol Junior’.

He started his career as a lyricist by writing songs for the 2005 film ‘U, Bomsi n Me’. He wrote four songs in this film. He wrote some songs for Shreya Ghoshal’s first ghazal album ‘Hamansheen’ in 2014, which became a chartbuster.

Manoj has written all the songs of films like Bahubali: The Beginning and Bahubali: The Conclusion, Hindi versions of Jai Gangajal, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Baadshaho. Apart from this, he has sung Ek Villain’s Galliyan, Half Girlfriend’s Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga, Batti Gul Meter Chalu’s Dekhte Dekhte, Kabir Singh’s Kaise Hua and Kesari’s Teri Mitti.

He made his debut as a scriptwriter by writing the dialogue for the Hindi version of Bahubali: The Beginning. He has also written the dialogue for the Hindi version of Bahubali: The Conclusion, Sai Ra Narasimha Reddy, Marvel’s Black Panther.
