P Ranjandas, Bijapur. Maoists have killed a BJP leader in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur. Former sarpanch has been murdered in Ilmidi. The deceased is associated with the BJP. The incident has been executed at a distance of 2 km from the police station. The name of the deceased is Kaka Arjun.
The responsibility of the murder has been taken by the Maoist-led Area Committee. No official statement has been issued by the police. The case pertains to Ilmidi police station area of Usoor block.
Former minister Mahesh Gagda told the team of LALLURAM.COM on phone that this is a political conspiracy. MLA Vikram was staying in Usur area yesterday. It cannot be ruled out that it was a political murder. Gagda said that Arjun was a very old member of the party and was one of the lead leaders of the BJP in Usur.
