Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. The Mineral Department has now set new guidelines for brick kilns in Madhya Pradesh. Due to which now we will not be able to do soil mining anywhere. Brick making artisans will have to take permission from the headquarters for transportation. Along with this, there will be transport of food through electronic vehicle pass. On the other hand, potters will have to pay revenue to the government on selling bricks.

In view of increasing clay mining, the Department of Minerals has issued a new guideline for brick kilns. According to these guidelines, the collector will give permission for digging soil for making bricks. Can’t dig the soil without permission. Along with this, brick making artisans will have to take permission from the headquarters for transportation.

This guideline has been fixed for solving the problems faced by artisans at the local level for clay products in the state. Under the provisions prescribed in the Madhya Pradesh Mineral Rules, 1996, the state government has said that action will be taken in view of the problems faced by the artisans at the local level for soil production in the state. According to the new guidelines, now soil can be dug in the state.
