MP Breaking: Assistant postmaster of post office did scam of 65 lakhs, CBI registered case

Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. A case of scam worth lakhs has come to light in the post office of Jabalpur city of Madhya Pradesh. The assistant postmaster of the post office has done a scam of 65 lakhs. The CBI has registered a case of forgery in the case.

According to the information, Balwan Singh Bhalavi, assistant postmaster of Motinala sub-post office of Gohalpur, has done this scam. There is an allegation of usurping the deposits of 181 account holders. The amount taken from the account holders for depositing the amount in the savings accounts and also entered in the passbook but did not deposit the amount in the accounts. The amount was withdrawn from the accounts of the account holders on different dates through fake withdrawal letters. The embezzlement has been done between September 2020 to April 2022. From 1000 to 2 lakh 86 thousand were withdrawn from the accounts of 181 account holders. After the forgery was revealed, the Senior Postal Superintendent complained to the CBI. The postal department had suspended the accused Balwan Singh Bhalavi in ​​May 2022 itself.
