Sameer Sheikh, Barwani. Madhya Pradesh Police has taken major action against arms smugglers. In Barwani district, the police have arrested an arms smuggler posing as a customer on social media. The police seized 1 revolver, 4 pistols, 12 country-made pistols and 7 live cartridges from the smuggler. Sendhwa police station has started taking further action by registering a case against the smuggler.
Actually, the team of Sendhwa police station in-charge Rajesh Yadav had received information that the person standing in front of Advantage City with a black bag had a weapon. Police reached the spot on information. Seeing the police, the smuggler tried to run away from there. After which he was caught under siege. Superintendent of Police Puneet Gehlot said that a revolver, 4 pistols, 12 country-made cartridges and 7 live cartridges were recovered after searching the smuggler’s bag. According to the police, the cost of the illegal weapon is said to be around 3 lakh 34 thousand.

Smuggler Piraram Jat resident of Rajasthan Umarthi was going to sell weapons from Sikligars. He used to find customers for weapons by befriending them on Facebook and Instagram and when the customer was found, he used to do the deal by sending photos of weapons through WhatsApp. Police is interrogating the smuggler to find out from whom he had bought the weapon. Tell that in the last two months, the Sendhwa police have seized 44 weapons and 10 live cartridges by taking action against arms smugglers. The Superintendent of Police has announced to give 10 thousand to the police team.
