During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, three IPS officers, who were caught in raids by the Income Tax Department, have opposed the departmental inquiry against them. Retired ADG V Madhu Kumar, Sanjay Mane and ADG Sushobhan Banerjee have raised questions on the investigation by filing replies before the departmental inquiry.
