Mukesh Kumar Test Debut: When the second Test match started between India and West Indies on the ground of Trinidad, it became very special for fast bowler Mukesh Kumar. After being a part of Team India for a long time, Mukesh finally got a chance to make his debut in international cricket. The match being played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain is also the 100th match in Test history between India and West Indies.
Mukesh Kumar was included in the team in place of all-rounder player Shardul Thakur, who could not be a part of the playing 11 due to being unfit just before the match. Mukesh Kumar hails from Gopalganj in Bihar and has faced a lot of poverty in the early part of his life.
The journey till here was not easy at all for this fast bowler of Team India. It was also very difficult for Mukesh’s father, who was born in a poor family, to run the household expenses. He moved from Bihar to Kolkata where he decided to drive an auto to support his household expenses. Mukesh’s dream was to join the Indian Army, for which he had also given the test 3 times, but he could not pass it. After this he turned to cricket where he got success.
