At the same time, a video has been shared by the New Zealand Cricket Board (BLACKCAPS), in which Williamson talked about his injury. In the video, Williamson is seen inside the gym.
Talking in the video, he said, “A lot at the moment trying to keep it week-by-week. I haven’t had an injury this long before, but talking to other people who have had it, the journey is a bit longer, so if you look that far ahead it can probably be a bit challenging.”
Please tell that Williamson had undergone surgery in April, from which he is recovering. Williamson can be an important batsman for New Zealand in the World Cup. Thanks to Williamson’s brilliant batting, New Zealand made it to the finals of the 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cups, but unfortunately the team could not win the trophy both times.
“To have a focus and see some of those steps and tick some of those off keeps you quite motivated”
