Neha Kesarwani, Raipur. There has been an association between our national leaders and the Arya Samaj. We are engaged in the promotion of Chhattisgarhi tradition. Today we have made more than 10 thousand gothans. Tularam Parganiha was the first Tehsildar of our society. He did many things for social reform. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said this in a program organized on the 200th birth anniversary of Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel mentioned Tularam Parganiha in his address at the Gyan Jyoti Parv Mahasammelan organized at Shaheed Smarak Bhavan in Raipur. He told that Tularam was from Vibhori village near Parganiha Dharsinwa. He was the first Tehsildar of the society. It is a matter of the time of the British, their Tehsildar’s court used to be held in the house. He had donated all his land.

The Chief Minister said that Tularam Parganiha had formed the Kurmi Samaj in 1935. Earlier the women of Chhattisgarh did not wear blouses, but used to wear polkas. When Tularam ji’s daughter came wearing a polka, the society boycotted her. He did many works in the field of education. Removed problems like superstition, illiteracy. Struggled against the evils.
