Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Has Formed A High-profile Committee For Team Participation In ODI World Cup In India

ODI World Cup 2023 Pakistan Cricket Team: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the official schedule of the ODI World Cup to be held in India on 27 June. The great match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has now written a letter to its government to participate in the ODI World Cup in India. Now Pak Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has entrusted the responsibility of taking a decision to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto.

The Government of Pakistan has decided to send an investigation team to India to take a decision regarding the playing of its team in India. This team will look after other arrangements including security. Only after this the Government of Pakistan will take a decision on sending its team. Apart from the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto has been made the head of this committee.

According to the schedule of ODI World Cup, Pakistani team has to play matches in 5 cities of India, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. Pakistan’s team will play its first match in the World Cup on October 6 against the Netherlands team. This match will be played in Hyderabad.

There was talk of changing the venue against Afghanistan and Australia.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had requested the ICC to change the venue of their matches against Afghanistan and Australia in the ODI World Cup against India. This request was later rejected. If the Pakistan team manages to reach the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup, then it will play its match at the Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata. Pakistan team has to play its match against Australia in Bangalore and against Afghanistan in Chennai.
