Prisoner’s death in jail: Jail management and family face to face, jailer said – in medical college and family claims death inside jail

Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. A prisoner has died in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur Jail. After the death of the prisoner, the jail management and the relatives of the deceased are making different claims. The jail management says that the prisoner died in the medical college during treatment, while the relatives are alleging that the death took place in the jail. After death, he was taken to the hospital.

According to information, prisoner Suresh alias Monu died in the jail. Mohini Thakur, the sister of the deceased, is alleging death in the jail, while the jail management is refuting the allegations. Assistant Jail Superintendent Madan Kamal says that the death occurred in the Medical College during treatment. The deceased Suresh was brought to jail on 18 June. He was brought to jail for assault. Suresh alias Monu had come to jail many times. The deceased used to inject drugs himself and was of criminal nature. The post-mortem of the deceased is being done.
