According to the news of Hindustan Times, Priya said, ‘It has been 8 months and the makers have not called me nor informed me whether I am a part of the show or not. I tried to contact Asit Modi and operations head Sohil Ramani to inquire about their plans. But he did not even reply to my message.
The actress said that for a long time the makers were neither calling me back on the show nor informing me whether I am a part of the show now or not. That’s why I had to resign.
Priya said, ‘It started affecting my career. Everyone knew that I am still a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. And I had to tell every casting agent and producer I met that I was not under an exclusive contract. And I can work with others too. I know there were many opportunities out there that I missed during this time because makers avoid working with people who are committed to another show.’
