On the night of June 22, the Lalbagh police had received information from an informer that the operator of the Hi-Fi Chowpatty Cafe in front of the Dental College was conducting unethical prostitution. On which the police team raided the cafe, then a young woman and a young man were found in an objectionable state inside the cafe. During the search of the cafe, objectionable material was also recovered from the director Mihir Upare.

The police have registered an FIR against the youth and the cafe operator Mihir under crime number 261/23 Section 3,4,5,8 Immoral Business (Prevention) Act 1956 for their involvement in immoral prostitution under the guise of a cafe. The police is taking further action by arresting the cafe operator Mihir Upre.
