Dilip Vengsarkar on Indian Team: The Indian team is facing constant criticism after the defeat in the World Test Championship (WTC) final match. Due to not being able to win a single ICC trophy in the last 10 years, questions are now being raised on the future of many players of Team India. The first name in this is that of Captain Rohit Sharma. After the defeat in the WTC final match, the news of his removal from the Test captaincy is being seen. Now meanwhile, former Indian player Dilip Vengsarkar has lashed out at the selectors.
If seen as an option for the next captain of the Indian Test team, nothing has been decided on who will take over this responsibility after Rohit Sharma. Dilip Vengsarkar has blamed the selectors for this. According to Vengsarkar, the selectors did not show foresight. Because of this we are facing this situation today.
Dilip Vengsarkar said that unfortunately in the last 6 to 7 years, all the people who took the responsibility as selectors of Indian cricket had neither any plan for the future nor deep understanding about this game. He gave the captaincy of the team to Shikhar Dhawan in some series where the young player could be tested for this.
Only Organizing IPL is not enough
In this statement, Vengsarkar also took a dig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Dilip Vengsarkar said that you did not prepare anyone for this responsibility. You take decisions according to time. You talk about the richest cricket board in the world. Where is the bent strength? Just organizing IPL is not enough. Earning crores of rupees through media rights should not be the only achievement.
