Shreyanka Patil Will Play In Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2023: Along with the male players of the Indian team, in the last 10 years, the performance of women cricketers has also been seen on the field. Now 21-year-old Indian woman player Shreyanka Patil will become the first player to play in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) to be held in the West Indies.
Young off-spinner Shreyanka Patil has been roped in by the Guyana Amazon Warriors team in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League. The upcoming edition of WCPL will start from 31st August to 10th September. Many players of the Indian women’s team have appeared in foreign T20 leagues even before this.
Apart from the current captain of the women’s team Harmanpreet Kaur, many other players including vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Jemima Rodrigues, Shefali Verma and Richa Ghosh have appeared in The Hundred in England as well as Australia’s Women’s Big Bash League.
Excellent performance in Emerging Asia Cup
Shreyanka’s excellent performance with the ball was seen in the Emerging Asia Cup tournament hosted by Hong Kong last month. Shreyanka bowled 7 overs in 2 matches in which she took 9 wickets for 15 runs. In the final match, Shreyanka contributed significantly to the team’s victory by taking 4 wickets. Shreyanka was also given the title of Player of the Tournament for her performance.
Shreyanka Patil appeared in the first edition of the Women’s IPL playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore women’s team. During this, he took 6 wickets while playing in 7 matches.
