Special- Chief Minister’s Slum Health Scheme is sharing life: People of slum settlements

Health check-up and treatment have become easier for the people of slums. So far 73, 565 people have been treated. At the same time, 62, 389 patients have been given medicines free of cost. The scheme of Bhupesh Baghel government is proving to be a milestone. People are getting facilities from city to village.

Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) of Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana in urban areas of Bemetara district has made health check-up and treatment of slum dwellers easier. People living in urban slums are getting benefits of regular check-up-treatment-medicine and better and simpler methods.

For this, under the Mukhya Mantri Slum Health Scheme, two mobile medical unit vehicles have already been provided to one municipality, Bemetara and Saja, due to which the people living in the slum areas of the district are not only getting their treatment done by the doctors at these mobile medical units. Along with this, medicines and 41 types of tests are also being done free of cost.

So far, 73565 patients have been treated in Bemetara by setting up about 740 camps. Out of these patients, free lab test has been done for 20808 patients. And free medicines have been distributed to 62389 patients. 41 types of different lab tests are done in MMU. In these, blood, excreta, urine, sputum, TB, thyroid, malaria, typhoid are tested by skilled lab technicians with state-of-the-art machines.

Taking advantage of the free medicine distribution service in MMU, about four lakh forty thousand patients are now getting free check-up, treatment and medicine facilities and better methods for the slum dwellers in the district. Mobile medical unit equipped with modern equipment is providing health services.

41 types of different lab tests are done in MMU. In these, blood, excreta, urine, sputum, TB, thyroid, malaria, typhoid are being tested by skilled lab technicians with state-of-the-art machines. In these mobile medical units, MBBS doctors are providing health facilities to the patients by setting up camps in the slum areas of the district.

Pharmacist for free medicine distribution in the camp with MBBS doctor, lab for free lab test, free check-up, treatment and medicine facilities are being provided to the patients. Let us inform that on the State Foundation Day 01 November 2020, the Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme was started by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
