Chhattisgarh government’s dream of providing health facilities to every person is coming true. Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme is an important government scheme of Chhattisgarh. Whose objective is to provide health care to people living in urban slum areas. Under this scheme, free medical services are provided to the urban slum dwellers. Due to which people living in slum areas are getting their treatment done by doctors at these mobile medical units, as well as taking the benefit of medicines and 41 types of free tests from here.

Sundar Sonwani, a laborer who came to get his treatment in the camp set up under Chief Minister’s slum in Mahasamund Ward No. 30, told that he works as a labourer. For a few days he was having fever with weakness and fatigue. But it was difficult to bear the cost of a private hospital. While in the camp he was treated free of cost. They say that they didn’t even have to visit the hospital. Nothing had to be spent on treatment and health check-up.

On the other hand, Sushila Pradhan was suffering from tingling and weakness in her hands and feet for a few days. She says that on re-examination at the Mobile Medical Unit camp, she was given a health tonic along with medicines. Due to which he got relief from the disease. There is relief in tingling and weakness in hands and feet. People of settlements of Mahasamund city are undergoing treatment. The mobile unit reaches the different wards at the stipulated time. Hundreds of people come to get free treatment of their diseases. Sundar and Sushila express their heartfelt gratitude to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for this.

So far, 46 thousand 500 patients have been treated by setting up 609 camps in the district. Out of these patients, free lab test has been done for 7262 patients. At the same time, free medicines have been distributed to 41 thousand 196 patients. 41 types of different lab tests are done in MMU. In these, blood, excreta, urine, sputum, TB, thyroid, malaria, typhoid are tested by skilled lab technicians with state-of-the-art machines.

Now the patients of slums in the district are getting free check-up, treatment and medicine facilities in a better way. Mobile medical unit equipped with modern equipment is providing health services. In these mobile medical units, MBBS doctors are providing health facilities to the patients by setting up camps in the slums of the district. Pharmacist for free medicine distribution in the camp along with MBBS doctor, lab for free lab test, free check-up, treatment and medicine facilities are being provided to the patients.
