Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 1st Test: The first Test match is being played between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at the Galle International Stadium. Three days of play is over and Pakistan’s hold on the match is looking strong. On the first day, the Sri Lankan team could score only 312 runs in their first innings. In response to this, Pakistan has scored a huge score of 461 runs in its first innings. In this way, Pakistan has achieved a lead of 149 runs in the first innings. By the end of the third day’s play, Sri Lanka have scored 14 runs without any loss. At stumps, Dimuth Karunaratne returned unbeaten on 06 and Nishan Madhushanka on 08.

Earlier, middle order batsman Saud Shakeel did wonders for Pakistan. Shakeel remained unbeaten after scoring 208 runs in 361 balls with the help of 19 fours. He has become the first Pakistani batsman to score a double century while batting at number five. Saud Shakeel has become the first Pakistani batsman to score a double century in Sri Lanka. Earlier, the highest score of any Pakistani batsman in Sri Lanka was 196, which was made by Mohammad Hafeez.

At one point, Pakistan had lost five wickets for just 101 runs. After this, Saud Shakeel, along with the lower order players, took his team to 461. Apart from Shakeel, Agha Salman scored 83, Nauman Ali scored 25, Shahin Afridi scored 09, Naseem Shah scored 06 and Abrar Ahmed scored 10 not out.

Ramesh Mendis did wonders in bowling for Sri Lanka. Ramesh Mendis took five wickets for 136 runs in 42.2 overs. Apart from this, Prabat Jayasuriya got three successes. At the same time, Vishwa Fernando and Rajitha got one wicket each.
