In fact, reports have reached the Madhya Pradesh government that elements having adverse effect on the security of the state and disturbing communal harmony are active in the state or such elements may become active in the state. In such a situation, from July 1 to September 30, 2023, all the collectors of the state have been empowered by the Ministry of Home Affairs to take action against such anti-social elements under the National Security Act (NSA). Collectors will be able to take action against such people under the NSA keeping in view the circumstances in the areas within the local limits of all the districts of the state.
