Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. A hearing was held in the High Court on the petition filed against the adoption of procedure contrary to the rules in the sub-inspector recruitment examination. In this matter, the High Court has issued a notice to the Secretary, Home Department, the Director General of Police and the Secretary of the Professional Examination Board and summoned the reply.

Significantly, Satish Kumar Kashyap and three other petitioners have filed a petition in the High Court. According to the petitioners, the Director General of Police, Raipur has appointed Subedar, Sub-Inspector, Sub-Inspector (Special Branch), Platoon Commander, Sub-Inspector (Finger Print), Sub-Inspector (Questioned Documents), Sub-Inspector (Computer) and Sub-Inspector Advertisement was issued on 17 September 2021 for the recruitment and appointment of 975 posts of (Radio) and Platoon Commander.

According to the petition, out of total 975 posts, 247 posts were for Platoon Commander. It was clarified in the advertisement that women candidates will not be eligible for recruitment to the post of Platoon Commander. Even after this, more than 4 thousand women have been considered eligible in this. Due to this eligible male candidates have been hindered from the selection process. Along with this, 1900 posts are approved for ex-service men, while the total number of eligible candidates is around 450, general category candidates should also be included in the remaining posts.
