Team India To Get New Coach After World Cup, Rahul Dravid Not Likely To Continue

But Sourav Ganguly, who was the President of BCCI at that time, convinced Rahul Dravid to become the head coach.

A source associated with the BCCI told Inside Sports, “Rahul Dravid was not ready to take up the position. Dravid did not want to stay away from home for long due to foreign tours. However, for the sake of Team India, he adopted this position. But even if Team India wins the World Cup, he does not want to continue in this position.

However, the BCCI has not officially issued any statement regarding this matter. At present, India’s eyes are on winning the World Cup title. Before the World Cup, BCCI has also made a plan to give rest to Rahul Dravid. In place of Rahul Dravid, Laxman will be seen holding the post of head coach of Team India in Ireland.

At present, the selectors can visit the West Indies to plan for the World Cup with Rahul Dravid. Ajit Agarkar will finalize the World Cup team along with Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma after reaching the West Indies.
