Meanwhile, a big statement of Deputy CM TS Singhdev has come to the fore. Deputy CM TS Singhdev said, regularization cannot be done, but they have been taken care of. At the same time, the contract workers seem unhappy over the 27 increments. The Chhattisgarh All Departmental Contract Employees Federation says that the salary has been increased by 27 percent, whereas in reality it was to be 48 percent. The above announcement by the government has been said to “give contract employees working on fixed contract salary equivalent to the regular pay scale”.
On the other hand, Deputy CM TS Singhdev further said, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has made important announcements of Rs 2000 crore during the supplementary budget. The dearness allowance of about 5 lakh government servants has been increased by 4 percent. Due to 4 percent increase, the state government will have to spend an additional Rs 800 crore. The salary of 37000 contract workers has been increased by 27 percent. Due to this, the state government will have to spend an additional Rs 350 crore. The salary of daily wage earners has been increased by Rs 4000 per month. Due to this, the state government will have to spend an additional Rs 240 crore.
Further, TS Singhdev said, the salary of 1650 guest teachers has been increased by Rs 2 thousand per month. Due to this, the state government will have to spend an additional Rs 4 crore. Monthly resource allowance of Rs 500 will be given to 6000 Patwaris, due to which the state government will have to spend an additional Rs 4 crore.0
After the announcement, the Chhattisgarh All Departmental Contract Employees Federation has appealed to the government to establish dialogue with the agitating contract employees and try to find a real solution to the real demands, so that the promise made in the public manifesto of the Chhattisgarh government can be seen to be fulfilled. In the public manifesto of the year 2018, the government had promised not to regularize and retrench the contract workers, which has not been fulfilled till date.
